How the Listing Grader Works
The Listing Grader analyzes your marketplace listing across four weighted categories: Title (30%), Description (25%), Tags/Keywords (25%), and Technical/SEO (20%). Each category is scored 0-100 based on platform-specific rules, then combined into an overall A-F grade.
Rules are tailored to each platform. For example, Etsy titles can use up to 140 characters while eBay limits you to 80. The grader checks character utilization, keyword placement, spam patterns, policy violations, and mobile display optimization.
Issues are ranked by severity: Critical issues can get your listing suppressed or removed, Warnings hurt your search ranking, and Suggestions are optimization opportunities. Fix critical issues first for the biggest impact.
